I have a friend looking for a set of elk antlers to mount on the outside of his log cabin. My question is, where does a person find elk antlers for sale, and what should he expect to spend for a nice set?

I' ve seen some posts on this board from folks that get sheds from elk ranches. Not sure what they cost. I do know that I bought my wife a " nice set" and it cost me about $5000

Colorado division of Wildlife has an auction for antlers every year after the " shedding season" . They have it posted on their web sight. You might also contact them personally about the " rules" of the auction and how to get the antlers.
