Around the Toadstool campground there is not a lot but it was a place for us to camp. We usually drove further NW to hunt during the day. There is more public land out there than you can realistically cover in a couple of days of hunting. It is spread out in a wide area.

since u will be bowhunting u can also hunt halsey national forest which is about 30000 acrs in central ne near broken bow. i hunted here alot not alot of people u can camp right there with all hookups for a trailer . we always drove backin to whitetail camp next to the river it has water faucets for drinking but no electric. u can camp any where in here. windmills everywhere throughout and numberd so on the map u know where u r. it has good antelope hunting not as good as western but there isnt any crowds and if u put your time in u will find them.get bowshot is another but thats the same anywhere. i really enjoy halsey good mule deer also. and lots of shaptail and praire chickens to hunt also if u tag out early.
