She should have at least had it butchered and donated the meat. That's a p!ss-poor example of a sportsman.
Reminds me of all the marlin, tarpon, ect... that use to be hung at the docks for show.

Actually, we have some of the biggest bears in the nation. PA is 3rd overall in B&C and we tag MANY 600+ pound bears every year. If you look at the Boone and Crockett list of the top 10 all-time records, Pennsylvania bears are in the No. 2, 3, 5, 6 and 8 spots. I believe we are also tied for 1st pace with a Cali. bear.

I hear of tons of over-sized bears in PA after each season. I don't think Potter County is one of the big bear counties. I think they're bigger in the Pocono region.
The biggest one I remember came from Carbon County. That was 827lbs live weight.
I'm not sure what they average. 200lbs might be right. But nobody in PA would be surprised to here about a 300, 400, 500 or even a 600lb bear. We know there will be 600lb+ bears taken every year.
