If you really are serious about elk or mule deer hunting, www.monstermuleys.com is the place to be. It has a slight Utah slant, but it is very active and has a TON of good information. It also has individual forums for most of the western states that have a lot of good information as well.

If I had to choose only one animal to hunt the rest of my life, it would be Elk. So I guess that makes me an elk hunter.

Default Hunting Elk

I can be called one. The Montana FWP reintroduced elk about 10 years ago and just the last two years I have been getting tags to hunt them on my property. They are a fun challenge.

When u get a bull to answer, and can suck him into getting good and PO'd,and get him to go whiz all over your buddy while screaming his face off at you, and watch your stinky buddy shoot that bull after it whizzed all over him, and absolutely vibrate for the rest of the day over it.
Ya might be doing it right. once anyways.
But, getting them PO'd is definitely a blast, and any creature that responds to a call is fun to hunt. I do have a tough time choosing betweeen a PO'd moose and a PO'd elk though. Just too much fun.
