Big Game Hunting Moose, elk, mulies, caribou, bear, goats, and sheep are all covered here.

Is it unethical to give out game location?

I'd give the guy info. It's not like flying over the animals, landing and hunting immidaitely. You said it's still 3 weeks before he actually is going hunting, and when's the last time you saw the billys? They may or may not be in the same spot. Nothing un-ethical about sharing that kind of info.

At some level, we are talking apples and oranges here.

If you were talking elk or deer that someone can go hunting at that location every year or two, I would guard those locations VERY carefully and only share with close hunting buddys.

However, we are talking about a handful of tags given out. If I was not going to hunt them, and no one I know was going to hunt them, and this guy who is asking is not going to hunt them again anytime in the next decade (which he won't), I don't see the harm in sharing their location with him.

This is not the same as giving away a "honey hole".

Search yourself and you will find the answer, what we think doesn't count!

I agree with this after much thought! This guy recieved a tag, of which only 1 is available each year to a non-resident, which he is. He applied for 20 years! The only reason he recieved it is because someone else couldn't go and the tag was turned back into the CDOW.

I say as long as it's not the same day which would be illegal in colorado. I tell people where to go all the time it makes no difference to me if they go in my honey holes if the don't know how to use the country most come home empty handed. You can explain it down to the last detail and they still won't hunt your country the same way you do. By all means help the guy out.

Tell the dude to call the DOW. They will tell him exactly where they are. Given the total number of licenses avaialble for mtn. goats its not a big deal for them to do this.
