I' m new to this forum as I' ve been hanging out over on huntamerica.com. This looks like a great forum.
My questions pertain to Montana. I' ve drawn a permit to hunt mulies and may focus my research on the Fort Peck area. We are thinking of taking a boat in mid November. I' ve heard that the weather is definitely unpredictable so I' m a little leary of camping but have done so in deep snow and cold in northern Minn before. Has anyone had any experience camping along Fort Peck?? When does it typically freeze over?? I' m just looking for some feedback on conditions and what to expect. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Robert Scott is right, worry about it raining. I have hunted that area before and been stuck in the gumbo. Chains don' t even help. Lots of good deer over there. I shot a great 5x5 muley in 2001.
Good luck!
