You know I love Rocky boots, and buy nothing else. The only problem I' ve ever had is the fact that the strings fray after a very short period of time. I' ve remedied this by using " shrink tubes" from the electrical field. They are made for covering splices, but work great on ropes or anyhing like that. You can buy almost any size, and when applied, they remain flexible. You just slip them over the item, and apply some heat in order to shrink them. You can buy them at any decent hardware store. Just my two cents!

I have to say that I have recently become a fan of Rocky also. I happend upon a sale and could not pass up a pair of blizzard stalkers for 50 bucks. The 3 1/2 feet of snow that we got a couple of weeks ago put them to the test. Not once did my feet get wet or get cold. I' d have to give these a thumbs up.

I to love rocky' s. I have a pair of hikers that are great. As someone that hunts mostly upland, I have found that I really like the generation by Irish setter. They are not the lightest boots, but the tradeoff is a waterproof, gore-tex, thinsulate boot that isn' t to hot in hot weather and yet kept my feet warm in the cold as well. JMHO
