I killed my first elk a couple of weeks ago in Colorado. It was a private land/fair chase guided hunt with Atkinson Expeditions. It goes without saying, I am tickled to death with my bull!!

I killed him at 117 yds using my Winchester Mod 70 Featherweight 30-06 and my 180 gr Nosler Accubond handload.

That is almost picture perfect of my first bull. Havn't shot one any bigger since. Good job and nice first. I would guess in the 270-280 for a score.
