Well I will be hunting/filming on October 1-5 on the Jicarilla Apache Res. in northern NM. I am pumped. I have been on one other elk hunt, and though I took a decent 6x6, it was a late season hunt with no bugling. Though my hunt won' t be in Sept., there will only be 10 bowhunters on the 850,000 acres prior to my hunt, so the bulls should not be pressured, and hopefully will still be bugling. I just can' t wait to go on a bugling bull hunt where elk act like elk that have not been run to death by humans.

Good luck to ya! I' m still waiting for the draw in Utah to find out when and where I' ll be hunting this year. Maybe I' ll have the same luck as you.

I' m very jealous of you Tim. That is going to be such a great hunt. Finally sent in my applications for Colorado yesterday, but my hunt won' t hold a candle to yours. Guess I' ll have to make due though

Good luck on your hunt. They should still be vocalizing; about 2/3 of the rut will be over.
