Rifle, 3rd season for either sex Elk
Tent & 5 or 6 guys, gonna freeze
DIY hunt
Leave on Oct. 30, come home 8th of Nov. fly United Airlines
Drive in 7 miles on 4 wheelers
hope we have better luck than last year.
Really love bowhunting, but would have to live out thereso I could have a chance to scout more to figure out the bestplacesto hunt them. Needmore than the time allotment we have for the rifle season. Would love to hunt them during the rut with bow. I like to call turkeys and whitetails in, so I know I would love calling elk in for sure.
Bowhunting whitetail now here in NY. Only seeing does and fawns so far.

Colorado, hunting private land outside Craig area.
4th Rifle Season - only have elk tags, didn't draw any mulie tags this year
Stay in an old trappers cabin on property.
Leave Nov. 9th.

leaving Oct. 31st for private land elk hunt in the Sangre DeCristo Mtns near Redwing. Staying in a cabin up on the mountain and there will be a very limited number of other hunters, no horses or ATVs.

From Wall tent next to river. Used a boat to get to great areas that others couldn't. The area was Canmore Alberta. Season was Bow mid sept. Had a 350+ class bull at 5 yards with no shot due to a tree and branches...
Had a few other close encounters but didn't connect. This was my first year in the mix with bulls bugling and going crazy. Loved it.
