Default New Jersey Bear Hunt

I just got this information from a email news letter.

New Jersey Bear Season Given Preliminary OK

The New Jersey Fish and Game Council' s proposal to amend the game code, allowing regulated hunting of black bears in the state for the first time since 1970, was preliminarily approved on a 10-1 vote last week. The hunting season would help control the bear population through a one-week firearms season in December.

No final action will be taken on the proposal until after a public comment period, which includes another open hearing. No date has been set.
