I helped a friend from out of statetake his first bear.We have one bear down and one to go!!!! Hopefully more to follow....

Nice Bruin. We have only seen some little guys so far up here in North Central Idaho. Some spots we hunt are still snowed out, so we might be doing more fall hunting this year than spring. I doubt we will get to our favorite bait spot until mid june or first part of July, might try some spot and stalk and calling in some of the elk calving grounds.

I didn't weigh her but would guess that she was around 200 lbs or so and the skull was 16 1/2 inches which is pretty good for a sow. She appears to be older than the bear that I killed last year that was aged at 9 years old.

A friend of mine killed one last year that was 21 years old....
