With last years hunt resulting in zero net reduction in the JHherd, word is that over 300 tags will be given out... to residents, this year my buddy drew in the high 200's so he will probly get a tag. Last year another buddy of mine shot a real old, heavy horned bull only a few hundred yards from the pack out road, so get a tag=Get a buff.

I drew a cow tag for 2009 i am planning on going and purchasing my license within the next couple of weeks. My 8 yr old daughter is more excited to go than i am. My dates for the elk refuge are nov 3 -20th. My question is when i go to get my license i was planning on taking a ride to look around and see where i could go hunt that is not on the refuge. Does anyone have any places they would be telling me to go look around or any suggestions.
