Chama is a very good area for an elk hunt. There is alot of elk in there. We have seen herds of 300 +. It might be hard to draw a tag, but it is worth a try. It may be easer to draw a tag if you go through a outfitter. Go to www.gmfsh.state.nm.us for more information. Good luck.
