Hi,

Back in 1988 I spent a summer living in Glacier National Park, north of Bob Marshall. My pics are all slides, one day I will convert to digital. Both inside the Park and in the Bob Marshall I was able to hike and see lots of animals. I got within 15 feet of both bighorn and goats in the Bob Marshall. The are is great. That is a dream area of mine to hunt one day.

You are right, that east side will kick your butt! It's incredibly steep and rugged. I run the mountains behind my house to get into elk hunting shape and I have a hard time getting around over there. The Front is incredibly beautiful though,

depending upon your elevation, you might want to study Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) and what it does to you...it can flat KICK your butt, and cause thigns that you dont think it could...typically only kicks in at elevations above 8,000feet, so if you are east side, you will not hit it...

It is looking like the elevations in the areas we are going to be hunting are at about 5,000-6,000 ft.but I know it is still going to be tough. I have started working out but probably not hard enough.
