Default Wyoming antelope unit suggestions?

Just wanted to get some unit suggestions for a DIY antelope hunt for this year. Last year my nephew and I hunted unit 23 and both killed good goats. I want to swith it up this year and hunt somewhere different.

Why switch it up? didn't like the unit, if you both killed good goats, and think theres potential for bigger, I'd go back you already have a years worth of knowledge. read eastmans' when they make unit suggestions for wyoming antelope etc.....I think most units have good goats there, i'd look for public land around some good units with good draws/decent.

I just want to hunt a new unit and go somewhere different. And Gillette is a long haul from Durant, Okla.

Wyoming is a long haul from OK. Let me start by saying how important it is to hunt the same "neck of the woods". You become more familiar with, and therefore better at, hunting your particular species.

That said, closer areas I would recommend would be #47 north of Medicine Bow. Close to decent motel, LOTS of public lands, lots of goats, long time greatreputation in the "Shirley Basin" area.

But the nonresident drawing deadline was Jan 31st!
THIS IS NOT TRUE!
My bad! Nonresident's have 'till Mar 15th to apply for Antelope.

thanks game4lunch, lol unit 47 was actually my first choice. I applied yesterday evening. I also put in for unit 42 and 25. If my group doesn't get drawn out for any of the three we will just buy leftover tags in unit 23 where i went last year. I figure we will get drawn because of preference points, but ifwe don't we will improvise

Hello,

Area 47 seems to have two doe/fawn seasons. One starts Sept 25 and the other Oct 5. Is there any difference between them (aside from starting at different times)?
