Looking for recommendations on a spring black bear hunt.
Hello,
I am looking to book a spring archery hunt for black bear for myself, and my wife as a non hunter. I am hoping someone can recommend a quality, family friendly outfitter. I am mainly looking for a baited hunt because my wife does not want to chase me all over the country on a spot and stalk type hunt. I am not interested in hunting with hounds. I was leaning towards northern Iowa in the 2 bear reduced tag units, but if you have other recommendations that is cool.
Thanks,
Chris Bumpas

Check out this place in Kamiah, Idaho www.flyingbranch.com ...is a two bear area. I guided for them for a few years, they work really hard keeping numerous baits going and offer hunts at a reduced price to lower bear populations in hopes of helping our elk herds. Time your hunt opposite the full moon.
