Archery Black Bear Hunt Recommendations
OK, I did not draw the tags I wanted this year so I'm thinking I want to do a Black Bear hunt with my bow. I've got a couple of outfitters I'm looking at but wanted to get some feedback from some of you guys on outfitters you liked & ones you did NOT like. I'm looking for next Spring (2007)& have hunted Alberta last year for Deer & Elk, so I know the bears are there but would really like to stay in the states. Any recommendations??

Check out RDM Outfitter in Ketchikan, AK. He hunts POW Island for some of the biggest black bear in the world. Real good outfit, especially for those new to Alaska hunting and weather.

No, but my girlfriend took a nice 8' B&C bear with him last year as did her ex. She has nothing but good things to say about him; meaning Ryan, not her ex. (actually she hasn't got anything bad to say about him either.) In any case, I think you'd do well with RDM. We're headed to POW this spring on a DIY drop camp.
