canada gun permits

I recently asked the question about borrowing a gun in Canada vs taking your own. The "official" response I got from Canada was that you must have a permit to borrow and it is $30 vs $25 to bring your own & it takes 60 days to get instead of being a few minutes of paper work @ the border. Figure that one out. O well, I guess I'll take my own with me.

good luck on your hunt. So what will you be taking with you? Bear hunt correct? I set up my 300 win mag with the bushnell holographic red dot scope. no maginfication, works great over bait sites. accurate out to 100 yards.
buddy took it on his bear hunt and dropped a nice black bear at a range of 16 yards.

I'll be using a 7 mag sighted in @ 100yds. We will be hunting along the edge of the lake morning & evening. The outfitter isn't set up for baiting & this is more of nuisance hunt to eliminate bears that tend to come up around the lodge and get into trouble.
