Kevin gits the award fer best goat, whilst RuRu's buddy bagged the better mulie, I think. As fer combo mulie/lope hunts, its location, location, location.

BJ

Nope, on second thort, Kevin wins on both counts. Tell 'im what he wins Mr. Announcer.

Hi Otis, I can tell you this much, if you are interested in Wyoming, don't go where I went this year which is area 42. While we saw a few good lopes on the highway, there were none to be found on the ranch we hunted and alot of pressure. Also, the cost of supplies was outrageous as we were so far away from any town with any size to it. If horn size is not important, it might be ok I guess. We used to hunt arouns Laramie and had good luck there, but the ranch got leased out. We paid this year a $50 tresspass fee which is considerably lower than a guide fee. There were some real dandies coming out of the Shirley Basin area this year, but you likely have to pay good money to get in there. There is no problem filling tags almost anywhere in WY that I can see. In 4 hunts out west we have never failed to fill all our tags and have never once paid for a guide. You might also think about locating some BLM ground which is accessable via the internet. If you are set on going guided, I know of a reputable guide who does antelope and/or mulies. Their website is rafterboutfitters.com from Buffalo Wyoming. I know they work hard at their job because I know the people. If you contact them, tell them Shawn Thompson from Iowa sent you their way. They're really good people.
