RE: A picture of you in your "big game" territory!
Yeah fuzzy,
A small Digital camera in a ziplock bag stuffed in your daypack is priceless. I love taking pictures on top of a steep climb. The trick is to shoot something that provides perspective such as a tree or a person. steepness of terrain is something that is very hard to convey in pictures.
My theory is, take a couple hundred pictures on a trip and hopefully I'll end up with 40-50 that are good. The old rule of thumb was 1 or 2 good pictures per 24 exposure roll of film. So at 1 per 24 to fill a 50 shot photo album I need to take 1000 pictures, crazy to think of it that way. I generally ask anyone in my hunting party to take pictures constantly and make sure a get a copy.
There is nothing like pictures to bring it all back. I like to browse through albums from past hunts, just to smile. There is one picture of a friend after a particulary hard climb that always makes me laugh. Memories are priceless and photos are like memory reminders.
