Sounds good, I would also suggest a 7mm-08. That also does the job well.

Never hunted the bigger gane with a 308, but should do quite well. Most like to have maxbullet weight of 165 gr, from my experiances.

Have not shot any moose, but have taken the other two with the 308. 180 grn is over kill in my opinion. I used 150 grn Barnes X.

Depends on what kind of bear,if were talking griz or brown bear,I would start out at 300 mags.For just the general lower 48 variety the .308 will be fine with 165's or 180 gr pills should clean up the rest.

Im in Ontario,, I use a rem. 760 in308 for everything,, perfect round for this province. Why a youth model are you really small framed? If just because your young,, dont go out and rush a purchase on a youth model you may regret it in a year!
