Would a .308 be good for a moose, bear and deer rifle? if not what are some all around rifle calibres?

.300 Win Mag is a good choice.
So is the .30-06 but my choice would be the .300 Win.

I wouldn't hesitate to take anygame listedwith a .308, but I would rather have a .35 Whelen, just personal opinion though.

A 308 Win. is an excellent choice. Bullet weights from 150 to 180 grain will do the job.

Ive taken multiples of all three listed with 308 win. Put the bullet where its supposed to go, and you will kill any of them.

308 would be a great choice. Just stick to some 180gr pills put it where it counts and you'll be eating some tasty snacks.

.308 would be a great choice. Low recoil, tons of factory loads, lots of factoryrifle offerings, 30-06 performance, etc.

I might also suggest the .280, .270 or .270 WSM.

Sounds good, I would also suggest a 7mm-08. That also does the job well.

Never hunted the bigger gane with a 308, but should do quite well. Most like to have maxbullet weight of 165 gr, from my experiances.

Have not shot any moose, but have taken the other two with the 308. 180 grn is over kill in my opinion. I used 150 grn Barnes X.

Depends on what kind of bear,if were talking griz or brown bear,I would start out at 300 mags. For just the general lower 48 variety the .308 will be fine with 165's or 180 gr pills should clean up the rest.

Could someone answer if this would be a good rifle? The one I posted above.

You can't go wrong with a Remington 700. You won't be disappointed.

Im in Ontario,, I use a rem. 760 in308 for everything,, perfect round for this province. Why a youth model are you really small framed? If just because your young,, dont go out and rush a purchase on a youth model you may regret it in a year!

Because Iam only 11 and looking at it because it is fairly cheap. Also I don't want alot of recoil and it comes with a recoil pad.
