So I don't duplicate it everywhere I am providing the link to the topic.

Thanks in advance.

I say the 180 partition, due to the fact I am a huge partition fan and that is what my dad has always successfully used( I still am not a mag fan, 8x57 will do it all!(200 grain partition))

With todays bullets there is absolutely no reason to use a 30 caliber bullet heavier than 180 grains. Even if I were to go after bears with a 300 I would still choose a bonded 180 grain bullet such as the Trophy bonded bear claw.

Of the ones you listed it would be a toss up between the 180 grain accubond and the 168 grain TSX. Which ever one shot the best would get the job.

Also do not over look the Trophy Bonded Bear Claw bullets and the Swift A-frame bullets. You won't find a tougher lead core bullet than these two.

I will attest that I have had good success with the TBBC in smaller calibers(24 25) for deer from friends and family. Would assume they would be just as impressive in larger bores, even thouh i am a nosler part. fan.

My vote is for the 180 TSX. I've been loading for mine since 83 or so. Used partitions, grand slams...all good bullets...but, the tsx is more accurate and retains more weight than the others.

bigbulls, I don't know if I agree with you on that, yes 180 grains are awesome but in some situations 200 grain bullets are a better choice. If I was going after big bears with a .300 mag.I would want and use the .200 grain slug and not the 180's. For elk I do like the 180 grain pills, but I don't have to worry about a elk chewing me up either. I guess better safe than sorry is what I'm trying to say.

I agree with you 100%.I would not hestitate to take on any big game in north america with the 180gr tsx.

Another vote for the 180TSX. That's what I'm shooting out of my 300 RUM

I like the Accubonds so I would go withthe 200 grain.......I use the AB's out of my .338 Win Mag and they work great!

First off, I've only hunted whitetails w/ my 300WM. I've had good success w/ Nosler Partitions (150gr) though I've never recovered one. My biggest complaint about Partitions is that they fouled my barrel badly and it took forever to clean. I have tons of confidence in their performance and that counts for a lot.

The only other one I've used on your list is the Interbond (165gr) but only once. First "bonded core" bullet I've ever used and was impressed. It held together beautifully after going through 6" of spine and busting through 5 or 6 ribs. (I'd post a pic but I don't know where I put it ). Great things about the Interbond in my experience: very little fouling, awesome accuracy and the long-range trajectory is the best I've achieved.

Anyway, hope that helps a bit.
