from what i've learned about judging bears... i would have to agree that it's probably 200 #s at the most.

Thanks for all the replies. I have a picture of me standing in the exact same spot. I am 5'10" and go about 285lbs. If I line the pictures up perfectly square the height of the bears head seems to be just above my belly button. If all these smaller bears are around then wouldnt it be likely they have a ma and pa running around the same general area??

I have to agree. The bear in the first pic would go around 200 pounds while the bear in the second would go more towards 125. As far as ma and pa being around you won't have to worry about that with these bears. Even the one in the last pic is last years cub and wouldn't be with the mother anymore. We had three bear in our camp 2 nights ago and this years cubthat came in wentaround 30 pounds right now. We also had one in that would be pushing 400 pounds but I'll have to show you his pic after I get him this bear season.

I would guess the first one to be high 100s (180ish) the and the second to be very low 100s.

I will tell you first hand that its tough to judge them in the woods. You really have to get good at it before you take any shots. I know that we had some come into camp this year that were close to 100 pounds, and some that were over 300. The only thing you will know for sure is when you see a HUGE bear. There is nothing like that in the world.
