An Honest Trophy elk and deer?

cherokee, I agree with you, I think your right on with the points when hunting public lands.
A kid getting a doe is a trophy to him as I would not tell him otherwise, but its two different kinds of trophy.
Hell, their are woman out there that think I;m a trophy (maybe?) and then some others think I'm just plain ole white trash.I couldn't really argue with either.

ShatoDavis - Your words do not scare me, and I do not recall asking for your opinion. Either way, I will ask you something then. I have looked through hunting mags, read stories, looked at classified ads, and cannot find any hunts that are "high fenced" for elk. There wasone show I have seen that was a high fenced ranch in Canada somewhere for Elk. Other than that, I am not sure of any others. Have you looked into theranches that offer these hunts and seeif they are high fenced ranches? I have seen no evidence in anything I have read or watched. I could be wrong, and would accept that fact, but won't until it is proven to me. I am not trying to say you mentioned Nevada, only using that as an example that there are big bulls killed on public land. It was the easiest thing available to me.One final thought. These outfitters are in the business to make money. Do you not think that they would scout extremely hard and have one or two REALLY nice bulls picked out for when the big TV shows come on? That is how they sell other hunts. And I have seen hunts where the person killed a bull say in the 360" range. A big bull, but not out of the question for someone who draws a quality area or books a good landowner hunt and hires a competant guide that can put the hunter in the right place at the right time.
