Welcome to Colorado. You should have very good results, i have been bow hunting the last couple of weekends (finally) and have had a great time finding the Elk, i have seen close to 250 cows and about 12 bulls in a 8 mile radius in 3 days. Good luck and shoot straight.

Hey Raceman30, do you know anything about unit 42 on CO??? we are coming for the first combined rifle season(Oct 19- 25) 4 out of 5 drew mule deer tags and we can buy Bull Elk tags OTC. We will be hunting private land, 10 miles south of Silt. What can we expect??

Hey Beans, yeah it figures, I only had a archery elk tag last year and could have shot 4 really nice bucks within 20 yards, oh well this weekend coming up being the last for me to hunt elk, those cows are in trouble got to fill my freezer <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

WELL I AM BACK HUNTED THREE DAYS NEVER SAW ANY ELK FOURTH DAY AND TWO SPIKES WALK IN FRONT OF ME ACROSS A TRAIL GOT REAL WINDY IN THAT LOCATION SO I MOVED TO MORE SECLUDED LOCATION FOR THE AFTERNOON WAS SNEAKING IN A DRAW TO CHECK A WALLOW AND BUMPED THREE COWS WAS ABLE TO BACK OUT AND GET AROUND TO WHERE THEY SHOULD COME OUT AFTER ABOUT A HOUR WAS ABOUT TO GIVE UP AND COME BACK IN THE MORNING AND THEY STEPPED OUT OF THE TIMBER ABOUT THIRTY FEET FROM ME. OF COURSE THE LARGEST LEAD COW STOPS RIGHT BEHIND A TREE BUT THEY NEVER SAW ME MOVE TO SWING THE RIFLE AROUND AND SHE SOON STEPPED OUT END OF STORY. PS.... SHE WAS DOWN AROUND THIRTY FEET OFF THE TRAIL . EASY HUH HAHA JUST LUCKY
