My camera has a 10x Optical zoom so it takes good pictures from far away (38mm-380mm equivilent).

Here's the pictures my brother got. He's got a SLR digital and more megapixels so he blew up his pics for a closer look at the bears.

Here are my pictures in order. Figured out how to post them better.
Aw, what the heck. I'm hosting the pictures so here's all of my series of them (30 pics total).

I am not a good judge of such things thought it does look big enough for me to turn tail and run.

Way to have your camera handy.

Thanks all. It was a totally cool experience to be that close to a couple of big bruins with nothing but a camera. A little nerve racking but woth it for sure. Just wish they weren't on a Nat'l Park, I'd head back up there next month and fill my tag!

Glad you liked them. I know, I got to get out and shoot my rifle some soon. Bear season is almost here!

That was a nice size bear...notice how small his ears look...good sign. I would have drawn my bow on him.

Thanks WARedBear and welcome to the forums! I think I'll have to go get my rifle sighted in soon, almost that time again!
