My family does a lot of succesful hunting out past Cow Creek, which is near Myrtle Creek.

Where in Central Oregon are you located? We own an elk farm in Molalla.

A few years back I saw the biggest bear I have ever seen in the White River Game Management Area. I have seen bear in the 300 to 400 pound range and this thing dwarfed them bad. A friend of mine told me a relative of his shot a record book bear in the same area not long after that, I'm sure it was the same bear. I drove around a corner on this old road and it was just walking up the road in front of me not 50 feet in front of my truck. It glanced back at me and just kept walking up the road like he was thinking , "a Chevy pickup, I can crap bigger than that", he eventually just steped off the road and walked off. That was deffinately one of the most impressive sights I have ever seen in the woods.

There are a lot of mountains and steep canyons, but it is beautiful. I once saw a mother with 3 cubs off of the Rogue River.
