It's on tomorrow. Good luck EFH, let's get it started bud. I'll be out all weekend too, and may try to take Monday off if the weather looks good.

Ok, first day not too bad. Didn't hear a single bird, but did walk up to a ag field edge and had about 20 turkeys in it. I circled field and they took their sweet time working to me (no calling). It was 1pm when they finally hit that 80yd mark and to my surprise there was only about 5 hens.... The rest were jakes! Lmao!!!! Oh well, good sign for next year. Also looked like a winter flock, still got some time for them to get right! Going to hit 3 different counties the next 3 days, maybe we'll find a swinging beard!

Lay the smack down SS and EFH. I almost talked my buddy into coming and hunting Alabama this weekend. I was ready to go...

First day not so well for me either. Roosted a bird Thursday. Rascal picked out a tree 60 yards from us so it was pretty dark getting out of the woods. He dropped down away from us and straight to all his hens in morning. We thought he was going right so we dropped off in steep hollow to cut him off......he went left. Anyway when we figured him out he and his posse were heading to top of next ridge. We tried to cut them off but they beat us. My buddy missed after we walked up on the flock.

Agree with two things SS. Saw LOTS of Jake's (probably 7-8) and that was exactly what I expected after the warm, dry spring we had last year. Secondly, you're right. They are still in winter flocks and haven't cranked it up yet.
