Finally got out Wed. morning. Heard 4-6 birds on the roost, hard to tell for sure, windy, maybe a couple double gobbling, plus hearing not that great after 23 years working in a power plant. Didn't actually see any, after the quit gobbling I slipped out of there so I wouldn't get busted. Then today went to the hardware store on the edge of town and when leaving across the highway about 400 yards away were 12 birds with 1 big tom strutting like crazy.

Its supposed to snow this weekend. Its raining pretty hard here right now and its going to get worse. During my season they say its gonna rain so the gobblers will be in groups and will probably not break away

Sounds like the weather may be a major pain for you guys. Although it would be kinda cool to kill one in the snow.
Tuco: I worked in a power plant myself for over ten years before I got out on the line crew. I know all about not being able to hear. I am looking into hearing aids!!!

I can still hear OK unless there is some background noise. like the other morning the wind was blowing some, or if in a crowded area and lots of people talking, but I just keep saying "HUH??"
