|
RE: TEAM 3 sign in
I hope the flooding is gone for the opener in Mo...
|
RE: TEAM 3 sign in
Hows the gobbling over in Mo right now? I talked to my outfitter and he says hes hearing gobbling in Mo.
|
RE: TEAM 3 sign in
I haven't had a chance to get out yet in the morning. I'm on spring break this week so I will try to get up early one morning and check it out and now the flood waters are down so I can out of the neighborhood.
I've heard reports of gobbling in MO and IL and IN and NY and all over the place:D so it should be pucking up. More lousy weather though, highs in the 50's all week and rain.[:@] I'm ready for the real spring. |
RE: TEAM 3 sign in
Here are a few flood pics guys.
This is one way out of my house... ![]() This is the other way out of my neighborhood... ![]() And my neighbors farm down the street. ![]() It's all back off the road now and things are back to normal. Enough of this rain already LOL. |
RE: TEAM 3 sign in
Okay so.... I no longer am complaining about the snow here in MI. That flood crap sucks. I went out a few times thourghout the last week and the 200 flock is starting to break up they are in three or four groups now. The most I seen so far was 15 big toms all in full strut at once. I'm yet to hear them gobble. Come on Apr 21st.
EDIT: Your not peeing behind that four wheeler are you? The water will never never go down that way.:D |

Went for a drive tonight by my opening morning spot. Went by the property and turned around. On the way back I caught em crossing the road going into the property I hunt. They were heading for the roost. 5 longbeards, 3 jakes and 18 hens. All grouped together. That made my day. :)
|
RE: TEAM 3 sign in

RE: TEAM 3 sign in
No need to be sorry. There is still time.
|
RE: TEAM 3 sign in
That's hunting hoosier! Keep trying. I went out for a drive this morning. I come up on the feild a quarter mile from both of the properties I have.Low and behold 10 toms with a flock of hens and jakes. The hens and jakes were going crazy running all over and making all kinds of noise. The toms never broke stut and were gobbling like crazy the whole time I watched them. What a exciting display.

RE: TEAM 3 sign in
Ok I went to the woods today at my propertys and at my opening morning property I took my crow call and gobble tube. I heard the crows just a carrying on so I hit the gobble tube and got a gobble in response. Needless to say I backed out and left. Then on to the next propertys. I saw about 20 turkeys about a 1/2 mile form the propertys and there was a nice strutter with the hens. I couldnt get him to gobble though... So it was a productive day...
|
RE: TEAM 3 sign in
Joe A are yahunting anymore birds here in the states?
|
RE: TEAM 3 sign in
Sounds like your on some good birds arrowmaster. I haven't had a chance to get out and do any scouting really. Been pretty busy with school. Next weekend I should finally have some time to get out and locate some birds for the season.
|
RE: TEAM 3 sign in
Went today on my lunch break and saw a strutter across the street from my new property I'll be hunting. He had 4 hens with him. I had to watch out cause he ran a jake off into the property. Things are looking up. Lets just hope it holds true when season is in...:)
|
RE: TEAM 3 sign in

|
RE: TEAM 3 sign in
Hey Arrowmaster,
Good luck in MO. I was gonna go to MO this year, but it didn't work out. Hopefully I'll make it next year. I'd like to see an Eastern fan on my wall:). My turkey hunting is done for the year. Our season was cut short by 2 weeks, so it only ran during March. Usually we get March and the first two weeks of April. Hoosier...hang in there and keep at it. |
RE: TEAM 3 sign in
Thanks Joe. Ok hoosier:)
|
RE: TEAM 3 sign in
Do not worry Hoosier the season is still young. I just talked to arancher buddy and they have lots of birds. I am leaving on April 10 for a 10 day 3 state turkey hunt. Hope it warms up it is still cold out here.

RE: TEAM 3 sign in
Well Team Im back from my Georgia trip....empty handed [&:]. Got to hunt three days. Tow of those days I didnt even hear a gobbler. The second day of the trip, though, I had 4 gobblers around me. Lots of hens also. I had two chances on them and bad decisions got me both times. Another hunter didnt help me out either. Thats turkey hunting though.
Waiting for MO to start now. |
RE: TEAM 3 sign in
Do not worry drhtr it only takes a minute for things to turn around. I will be hunting Mt. Wy. and Idd. for sure.I am leaving on thurs morn. and a it looks like I may actually get 1 or 2 days to scout a little.

RE: TEAM 3 sign in
Hey JoeA, my wife just informed me we will be going on vacation to Honolulu with her family around this time next year. One of my brother-in-laws that will be going is also an avid turkey hunter. He and I were talking, and we're going to try to get the vacation scheduled during your turkey season. I'm not even sure if there is any public land around there, but if there is, what are the chances of us going in blind and even locating a gobbler? Any advice would be appreciated.
By the way...Great bird!!! |
RE: TEAM 3 sign in
Guys, im waiting to contribute. My season starts April 21st here in mid-Michigan. Been real wet here, hopefully it dries a little before the 21st. Not exactly sure how the turkeys will travel in these"lakes". Anyways...Im hoping to get points for us in a few weeks. Hows everyone else doing?
