During this past hunting excursion I've called up three other gobblers for good friends. All three successfully killed super nice longbeards. I've been pretty fortunate to see and hear somegreat gobbling. Other than the three heard I missed two (same morning) on a GA WMA and had about three other turkeys just out of distance. I've called up a slew of hens this year. Extremely surprised on the number of hens I've seen in 2008. Definitely going to keep the longbeards busy. Spoke with a buddy from SE Ohio and the birds are finally tearing it up. Going to head there this week to do a little scouting and see whatI can hear. I leave on 4/10 for OK and KS. I might hit up TN this upcoming week if I can find a couple of days to spare. Season is definitely going well so far and I couldn't complain one bit.

Midsouth great bird! How has it been down at AP? Noticed you said it was a tough one.

Hambone44 congrats on a super nice turkey.

Let's all keep going and win this competition. Good luck to all and God bless!

deeq,

Congrats on the birds. You are a turkey killing machine. Yes, AP was some tough hunting this last weekend. Heard little gobbling and had a couple of hens come in on me but nothing else. Wish I had more time to hunt.
