RE: reverse string on unstrung recorves?
Reversing the string on a recurve is not a good idea. The thing is designed and built to flex the other direction. I suspect the folks doing it are not familiar with bows and are trying to present them as strung. The best way to store a recurve is to hang it horizontally, unstrung, resting on two pegs, spaced at about the fade-outs of the limbs, (near the riser). Or, vertically, unstrung, hanging by the string.
