I realize that the powers that be in IBO will never be able to satisfy everyone of it's members on a world shoot location. I think that with gas prices headed for the high $2.00 per gallon mark and no end in sight that now is a good time to try and pcik as central a location as possible. Snowshoe is a great place to shoot with out a doubt. It does however offer several negative aspects as well. The terrain is very demanding for women and older shooters. 3 of the 4 people in my group fell while climbing around rocks. all but one of the ladies in my wifes group fell as well. I heard several senior class shooters saying that they had a really tough time on the slopes as well. Also it is over 45 miles to the nearest town of any size to do anything with the family. There is only so many times that you can ride the ski lift and the few other things to do at Snowshoe. My hat is off to the folks in the offices at IBO as it is hard to pick a location that can accomodate the number of shooters that the world brings. Good luck with picking a new location. Some will love it, some will hate it, and some won't care one way or the other.
