when i lived in missouri, to buy a handgun you had to go to the court house fill out few papers maked a 10 dollar donation to the county and then wait for the sheriff to sign your permit, then you take the permit back to the FFL dealer and get your gun, also private sales between individuals is a felony so you had to buy your guns from a dealer.


Here in arizona its awesome, you go to the gun store pick out what you want fill out a 4473 form and as soon as the phone call for the background check is done, you get to leave with the gun. same process for both long guns and handguns here in arizona also private sales on handguns are also legal. Arizona is a gun owners paradise
