Round-up is supposed to not have any residual effect, so in theory, you could plant immediately after you spray. I'm of the opinion that it does have short residual effect, so I would wait a couple of days.

Also, I never spray the same chemical twice in the same season. This can lead to plants developing resistance. In areas I spray, I rotate about three chemicals, using a different one each year.
