Default RE: BowTech Bows

Heck, I knew that post would cause a buzz among the Bowtech faithful.

I'm sure they shoot just fine its just that after handling some of the Hoyts it was a pronounced difference in weight when I picked-up a Bowtech. I do believe it was a Patriot model. I'm not by any means trying to bash the product, just pointing out how incredibly surprised I was at how heavy the bow was IN COMPARISON TO OTHER BOWS. I realize that in comparison to a bucket full of water they are probably pretty light but then I don't plan on carrying a bucket full of water around the woods form dawn till dusk either.

I hope you Bowtech owners enjoy them, I just personally did not like the weight of them. I'm sure that I'm not alone in that regard.

As an added note, I do understand where you faithful are coming from because I love my Remington 11-87 and that is a heavy SOB to be carrying all day but you'd have a hard time convincing me to switch to something else. Of course if I tried say a Benelli Super Black Eagle I would think the 11-87 felt like a cement block. Of course the price difference is a factor with the shotguns but the Bowtech runs for as much as the Hoyts...
