Default RE: 2-7 or red dot on a .44?

I have used both a Millit red dot and a Bushnell Elete 2X6 x32 scope on my Ruger SRH 454 .
I can change between the two in about 30 - 45 seconds. With no loss of Zero.
But I hunt with the red dot only.
The scope is left to load testing.
With the red dot I can keep all my shots in a 3-4" group at 100 yds ( practicing off the shooting rail of my stand ) ,With the scope I can keep them all in 1 1/2 "(4 power) under the same condituions.

Yes the scope is more accurate. But I find that I can shoot earlyer and later ( because I can see the dot when I could not see the cross hairs)and the red dot is faster to settle on the target .
I do not recomend this ,but last fall I shot a running deer at 75-80 yds with the pistol ( gut shot by someone else) ,with both eyes open using the dot .

Witch ever you chose ,please practice with it till you are a good shot.
