RE: Do the scent blocker suits REALLY work?
Wash your hunting clothes in an UNCENTED soap, then soak in Strong Arm baking
soda for 4 to 5hrs, hang up and let drip dry. Place in plastic bags and don't wear them
till you are ready to go hunting.WE hunt in heavy Pine and Cypress tree areas,so when
the clothes are dried, we give it a Very lite spray of Siberian Pine Oil.It's a natural cover
scent and keeps the skeeters off. Investment about $4.00.
Another thing that is very important is reading camo clothing labels.Make sure the dyes
are not UV enhanced, a deer or elk can see in the UV spectrum and they can spot you
at a 1000yds or more.US military camo does not have UV enhanced dyes.I try to find
camo clothing at Goodwill stores or Army surplus stores.
Last time I bought 5 Marine Corps camo outfits for $50 like new.
Also, one thing that will spook a deer from comming close is, if you Urinate around your stand.
Just my 2 cents.....
