No there isn't a dent in the primer. The trigger won't even pull. I tried pushing the action closed but it didn't move any further forward. I am going to go to the Remington website and see if I can get the manual.

This is a semi-auto. I was told that the owner should never take one of these apart. Any experience? I an not willing to pay a smith at this point because I doubt the gun is worth the repair given its reputation.
