I think 3-d shoots are great fun and a uniques form of archery competetion. I think sometimes they try so hard to make the long shots too hard. I agreeI think the 20 yards shots should have more in the way to get the shot there! at 40 yards you need a little give & take for your average guy that isn't Randy Ulmer. I think the real challenge is setting the range so it is hard but not so hard that your average hunter destroys a ton of arrows and stops coming back due to the expense.
