Default RE: Pic on me and new/used bow....

That draw length doesn't just LOOK too short.......it IS too short Butch. In fact WAY too short.
Looks like it could be as much as 2" short.

This will make it VERY difficult for you to find a solid repeatable anchor, and never lets your stabilizer muscles really settle in for a solid shot.
Plus if you get a peep sight, it may be very difficult for you to even see thru it that far from your face.

Bow arm position looks good......you are gripping the bow way too tight and your overall bow arm right too your fingers looks too rigid.
Your release arm is in nice position, but too far forward due to the short draw length..........

Butch, do yourself a big favor and get that bow to a GOOD bowshop and see if you can lengthen the draw........get measured and find out what your draw length really is.
If that bow will not go any longer in the draw, I hate to say it but you need to find a different bow to shoot to any potential you may have.......and you'll NEVER know just how well you can shoot if you keep it.

After looking harder at the picture, the bow may only be about 1" or so too short (still definitely short), but your head position is set too far back to begin with. You have the posture of someone shooting a bow too long in draw even tho its way too short.........you are leaning back and have your head going along with it.
Try standing straight upright and nestle your head down closer to that string........A good indicator of proper draw length is with proper form and a relaxed shooting position, the string is brushing the tip of your nose, and or the string crossing at the corner of your mouth. Not a true measurement by any means , but an indicator to see if you are even close.

Get with someone who knows what they are doing, and have them observe you anchor and shoot........some speculation we can do from that picture (like I'm doing), but you really need to have someone look at you from different angles and up close.
And like I said.......GET MEASURED BY A PRO SHOP. I think you are going to hear from them, very similar stuff to what you will hear here.
Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!
