Charles, it sounds like to me that the guy at your shop just doesn't carry them and probably wants to sell you something else! I don't use one but I'll have you know that 2 of my huntin' buddies have used them VERY successfully for years! In fact, these guys consistently shoot awesome bucks and swear that these red dots play a huge role in that consistency! The reassons that they love them are because of the bright single aiming dot and the ability to use one without further reducing lowlight vision by needing to depend on a peep sight. I have offered these guys FREE sights from other companies, TR, Tox, etc.... but yet they won't even consider anything else. that suggests to me that these red dots are great choices for the serious bowhunter.
