I guess I'm lucky that I go to an ag school. In fact just yesterday I spent an hour in a professor's office talking about hunting, which was cool. I did three papers on hunting last year, two on why deer birth control doesn't work and one on how hunting has influenced me. I ended up with an A in the class, and I had guessed that my teacher was an animal rightist. However, we talked about why hunting is good, and she came away with a new perspective. So, just try to reason a bit with your teacher, and if she still is very anti, realize she will never understand and is blind to the obvious.
