One thing I found out in college, was that many, if not most of the professors were liberal anti-gun types. I learned that if I wrote about hunting or guns, that they would actually appear to dislike me. If they dislike you, it's a lot easier for them to grade you lower than what they might have if they liked you.

You might be wise to feel your teacher out, on the subject, before choosing it. However, if you're not too concerned with your grade and like being an activist, then by all means, write all you can about hunting.
