h.s. precision makes the custom shop stocks for the remingtons. i think including army sniper rifles so what does that tell you.
My remington 40xb-ks came from the factory with a mcmillan stock.Considering that the 40x models are remingtons most accurate rifles that should tell you something.Also many of the sniper rifles used by the U.S. military also use mcmillan stocks.
You should also consider the fact that many gunsmiths skim bed the stocks that are equipped with the full length aluminum bedding blocks in order to achieve the most consistant accuracy..
