Daily,unless your friends other pins are further than 70 yds you can bet he shoots better with them. That might be possible if he has target panick at 20 and somehow is not a factor at 70 yds but seems real unlikely to me.

I practic out to 60 and am sighted to 70. I took my Best mule deer in AZ open scrub/desert at 70yrds.
