Here's my $.02 on this...I was raised on you go hunting,you kill something and you bring it home and eat it. It's all fun. Rabbit,squirrel,grouse,duck,DEER,etc. etc. Young,old,male,female,it doesn't matter...they're all the same. Does anyone practise small game "trophy" or "mature" hunting only? DEER are not special,they're just a bigger package of good eating.

If the antlers weren't part of the package then no one would even care........but they are so we hear all kinds of justifications for it like herd health, challenge and maturity blah blah blah.
