can a 17 hmr take down a coon or is a 17 m2 needed?
The 17hmr has more power then a the 17M2

do 17 hmr require a lot of cleaning?
Nope alot of people put over 250 rounds through before cleaning. most guns like to be dirty.
If your eating squirrels go for head shots or use the Tnt 17gr bullet. or the 20gr. these dont not have the explosive results like the 17gr ballistic tip V-max
On larger game the V-max does not cause as much damage. it goes in and then fragments. it cause about a grapefuit size ball of goo inside the animal.
